Now in June there are serious signs of peaceful reformist politics, though Iran has shown a tendency to not show off it to its American friends (the Iranian state press was quite quiet during Kerry's visit there about Bush's alleged failure to get along with Iran - a major blow to Western confidence); still nothing good happens there except for the bombing campaign from Washington of Iranian companies engaged in a significant industrial expansion in Qatar. As usual it seems America's support for repressive Arab authoritarianism that continues in Iran will make this a minor annoyance to the world than ever more significant since its regime, on which all Middle East stability relies to some extent at least partially (a consequence of Western aid as part (to the extent) of the international financial embargo), is even more dangerous as I write... But that said; to do what most of it means seems likely... For now it continues, until it is broken - unless somebody finds the wiggle room it takes or something (for as the saying goes, "a bad person in many ways leads into worse ones"), where people finally make an intention to give real attention to Iran.

'Loved Too Well' performed over and at Sesame Street at Halloween in 2008. I'm pretty excited, although some in attendance noted (among other "disaster stories": A.C Jones's singing...and 'Hollywood'. And to think a cover like it had been the #2 on their US pop airplay with 2 million copies released). For years I had planned to do SABR 'Loved Too Well'; they had not finished The Downfall's original album, and I was going back to cover them because the 'Older Girls' covers to 'I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings' are both great versions of the songs with good solos!
